Victorinox provides Borussia Dortmund with new travel luggage!

Discovering these similarities has now led to a fascinating and exciting partnership: Victorinox provides BVB with new travel luggage.

Borussia Dortmund (BVB) is one of the most successful football clubs in Germany: as well as eight German Bundesliga titles and four German Cup victories, Dortmund has also won the European Cup Winners’ Cup, the Champions League in 1997, and also the Intercontinental Cup (World Cup Championship) in that very same year. With over 159,000 members in total, it is one of the five largest sports clubs in Germany and is the seventh largest worldwide. It has a history reaching back over 100 years, and the unique passion of its managers, players, fans, and its unstinting authenticity make Borussia Dortmund one of the most popular teams in Germany.

The same can also be said of Victorinox: The Swiss company is still family owned 136 years after its foundation and remains deeply rooted in its home country. It became famous due to the small red Swiss Army knife, which remains the core part of the business to this day. In the meantime, Victorinox has long demonstrated a flair for multifunctionality in other fields, including travel luggage. It started as a licensed business in the USA in 1999. An in-house team of designers and product developers was recruited at their Swiss headquarters in 2014 so that it could expand further under their control.

As football clubs do a lot of travelling, the team demands a lot from its luggage. It must be tough and robust whilst also being practical and lightweight. Luggage from Victorinox are developed for heavy loads and are functional, robust, and durable. The partnership officially starts on August 19 with the “BVB Virtual Asia Tour 2020”, and will last for two years. The first highlight will appear in autumn in the form of a stylish limited edition “BVB x Victorinox” case, available as a strictly limited edition in two different sizes.
