One of the star attractions of the Manipur capital Imphal is it’s very own football team, NEROCA FC. After winning the Second division League last season, NEROCA FC would be playing in the top tier league of the Nation.
The brand new team from the hills is ready to shock the others after they performed extremely well in the pre season friendlies where they lost 1-2 to ATK and thrashed Sikkim United FC 5-0.
This Manipuri team has also provided opportunities for a lot of local lads to show case their talents.
With a bunch a young youngsters the team is also well balanced with experienced players with the likes of Govin and Gouramangi Singh. The two youngsters who are expected to hog most of the limelight are Gopi and Tondonda.
With just a few days remaining for the I-League to begin, one can surely expect these newcomers upset quite a few teams in the I-League as NEROCA can certainly give the other big teams a run for their money as XtraTime reports.
