The All India Football Federation organised a Grassroots Leaders Course in Mumbai from October 21 to 23, 2016.
Mumbai City FC-WIFA adopted the AIFF Grassroots Development Program and 201 kids participated in the Grassroots Leaders Course organised Football Festival which was held at the Lions Municipal Sports ground in Mumbai.
Dinesh Nair, Grassroots Development Manager, Mumbai City FC was the instructor of this course and the ex-India goalkeeper sounded optimistic while speaking to AIFF Media regarding this course. He said, “For a Successful Grassroots program We need educated Coaches. Coach education is the key for development in any sport. Indeed this course will be beneficial for all the 52 candidates who took part.”
The AIFF Grassroots Leaders Course was a three-day affair comprising of theory as well as practical sessions. On the final day, the participants organised a Grassroots Football Festival which saw more than 200 kids taking part in it through the practical sessions.
