Wolverhampton Wanderers announce adidas Partnership!

Newly promoted English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced a new four-year partnership with adidas, which will see the global sportswear giant become the club’s Official Technical Kit Supplier.

adidas provide kit for some of the world’s leading sports teams and elite athletes and the 2018/19 season will mark the first time Wolves and the German sportswear manufacturers have partnered.

The deal will include the provision of both home and away kits, as well as training wear, all of which will be available for supporters to purchase at the Molineux Megastore and online in the coming months.

Danny Batth, Conor Coady, John Ruddy and Diogo Jota visited adidas headquarters in Stockport earlier this month to learn more about the supplier and take a sneak preview of next season’s kit.

Following the visit, Wolves’ Coady said, “adidas is one of the most elite sporting brands on the globe and with the football club on such a high, and with so much potential, it’s a really strong fit.”

“We’ll be facing some of the world’s toughest opponents next season and facing those challenges in partnership with a top manufacturer will help us feel like we belong.”

“The lads and I have sampled the new kits – they look good and feel even better. We’re looking forward to wearing them in such a historic campaign next season.”
Wolves managing director Laurie Dalrymple revealed the new flagship partnership at the club’s prestigious End of Season awards dinner at Telford International Centre.”

Dalrymple further said, “We went through a stringent process to find the most suitable partner that shared our vision and could deliver on some of our key aspirations.”

“adidas is the biggest football brand on the planet. They have a quality and brand integrity that we knew would match our desire to reach fans in unchartered territories.”

“However, most importantly perhaps for the team, adidas will provide us with a kit that underpins high performance, and for supporters, provides us with a return to Wolves’ classic old gold.”

“We must also thank Puma for an excellent five seasons as our kit partner, in which time they have produced some of the most successful kits in the club’s history.”

Ashley Swain, Director of Clubs at adidas UK, said, “After an incredible season and a well-deserved return to the top flight we’re delighted to confirm a long-term partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers.”

“The club are looking to the future with big ambitions and we feel excited to be a part of their journey.”

Both home and away kits, as well as training gear, will be revealed later this summer.
