Three time defending champions and hosts India have been drawn to face Bangladesh and Afghanistan; while in Group A – Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bhutan would face each other as per the draw held at the Bangladesh Football Federation House in Dhaka on Thursday.
The Indian Women’s national football team would face Afghanistan on December 27 and then neighbours Bangladesh on December 31.
As always in SAFF Women’s competitions, the hosts India go into the tournament as the big title favourites.
