Soundararajan and allrounder Haroon Amiri around the Bengaluru FC match in which Amiri for himself surprisingly found himself on the bench instead of the starting eleven and according to the coach he was unwilling to come on as a substitute, which Amiri has denied and called the coach a liar.
With the situation spiralling out of control, Chennai City FC and Amiri decided to part ways in the best interest of both sides.
