The Young Panthers, who beat Dempo Sports Club 2-0 in the opener on Sunday, needs a draw against Shillong Lajong FC to qualify for the semifinals. However, Mohammedan Sporting U-13 head coach Ananta Kumar Ghosh left no doubts that his team will go for the victory.
“I know a draw is enough for us but once we try and play for a draw, we might end up losing the game. We are going in for a win that’s the only goal we have in mind. That’s the only way we can approach,” said Ghosh.
Shillong Lajong FC, on the other hand, suffered a 1-2 defeat against Dempo SC in their first Group B fixture and need to win the match at any cost to progress beyond the group stages.
