Bayer Leverkusen will have a new home at the Hotel Gut Brandhof for six days of training. The Leverkusen squad will be based at the foot of the imposing Alpine landscape of the Steinernes Meer from July 23 to 28 for intensive training sessions to prepare for the next Bundesliga campaign of the 2023/24 season.
A stones throw from the Brandhof in Saalfelden, Bayer 04 will have exclusive access to a high-quality training ground and beyond that the necessary infrastructure for optimum preparation for the new season.
The Werkself will leave Saalfelden on July 28 to head to Spain for a friendly against Real Sociedad a day later in San Sebastian. Before becoming head coach with the Black and Reds, Xabi Alonso was in charge of the second team at the Basque club. Straight after the match, the Bayer 04 group will leave Northern Spain on the return journey to Leverkusen.
