“Taichi trained with our amateurs for several weeks this summer and was able to draw lasting attention to himself. We are delighted that he will be used in the Regionalliga Bayern after the winter break,” says Campus Director Jochen Sauer. “Taichi is an interesting talent, a technically adept attacking midfielder, nimble and dribbling strong. Also due to his strong personality, we are convinced of his further development potential,” says Holger Seitz, sporting director of the Bayern junior team.
The Japanese Under-20 junior international was born on July 15, 2004 in Kanagawa and has been playing for Sagan Tosu’s youth team since the U-12. He currently trains regularly with the professional squad. Fukui has already played 14 competitive matches for the first team and is the youngest debutant in the club’s history. “It is a great honour for me to be able to play for FC Bayern soon. I will give everything for the club,” says Fukui about his move to Munich.
