Beach Soccer AFCON Qualifiers draw to be conducted on Friday, June 24!

The draw for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations 2022 will be conducted on Friday, June 24, 2022 in Maputo, Mozambique.

The draw will kick off at 10:00 local time (08:00 GMT) and livestreamed on CAF digital Platforms.

Title holders Senegal, who hosted the 2021 edition in Saly Portudal, are amongst the 14 teams engaged in this qualifying phase.

The Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Mozambique 2022 will be held from October 21 to 30, 2022.

The seven qualified teams will join 2021 runners-up Mozambique who qualify automatically as hosts.

Engaged Teams: Cameroon, Comoros, Cote D’Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Seychelles, Tanzania, Uganda.

– Points of last edition 2021 are multiplied by 3

– Points of the 2018 edition are multiplied by 2

– Points of the 2016 edition are multiplied by 1

The teams are distributed according to ranking and geographical criteria:

One ball will be drawn from Pot 2 (COSAFA) and will be matched with a ball from Pot 1 (COSAFA & CECAFA). This procedure will be repeated 2 more times (3 overall)

Then, one ball will be drawn from Pot 4 (UNAF, UNIFFAC & WAFU B), and will be matched with a ball from Pot 3 (UNAF, WAFU A & WAFU B). This procedure will be repeated 3 more times (4 overall).
