“We saw how the country came together during the pandemic, with strangers turning up to help those in need. This season, and beyond, we want to make sure that these gestures continue – pandemic or not. The club will also join hands with several local organisations that work at ground level for various social causes and all of us on the team are really looking forward to seeing this campaign grow. Karnataka is our home state and Bangalore our city, and we want to play our part in bringing its people together,” said Chhetri, on the day of the launch.
Through this campaign, the club will use its presence to join hands and collaborate with organizations and individuals who are doing their bit to make this city a happy place with their acts of kindness, and in turn, create opportunities for others to join in.
“As a club, we have built an honest connect with our supporters and the community around us, since our inception in 2013. Last season, through the ‘Back On Our Feet’ campaign, we did our bit to help small businesses that struggled to stay afloat during the pandemic, and we saw how the city embraced us. This year we want to go one step further and highlight, and more importantly, normalize kindness. We want to encourage more people to be kind, and recognize and add to the efforts of people who are already making a difference to our community,” said club CEO Mandar Tamhane.
