BFF Executive Committee Member and Chairperson of Women’s Football, Zimbiri, and BFF General Secretary, Ugyen Wangchhuk, were present at the launch.
Cheki Wangmo, BFF Safeguarding Officer said: “The policy strives to establish a physically and emotionally secure atmosphere for every child involved in football, without any disparity, to give them the pleasurable experience that they deserve.
“Bhutan Football recognises that children have the right to be free from all forms of abuse and that it is our responsibility to protect them at all costs through this policy.”
Among the key insights, the BFF plans to put an end to all types of violence against girls, boys and young adults in football, create a strong system for child protection that operates effectively across all levels at all times, including emergency periods and in ensuring that no child is unsafe in their sporting environment.
