Borussia Dortmund Management board proposes Silke Seidel as vice-president!

Borussia Dortmund’s club members will elect a new president in November. The current president, Dr. Reinhard Rauball, has already contacted the election committee to propose Dr. Reinhold Lunow, his long-term deputy, as his successor. In the event of Lunow’s nomination, the management board of Borussia Dortmund e.V. has now also submitted a concrete proposal.

The club’s management board has recommended to the chairman of the election committee, Dr. Winfried Materna, that Silke Seidel be put forward for the position of vice president at the next membership meeting. Born in 1962 in Dortmund, Silke Seidel is managing director of Dortmund Logistik GmbH, Hohenbuschei GmbH & Co. KG and Westfalentor 1 GmbH, and manager of DSW21 Immobilien. She has enjoyed a close association with BVB for many years, has relevant experience at committee level and is currently a member of the KGaA (partnership limited by shares) supervisory board at Borussia Dortmund.

In the past, Seidel was closely involved in the planning and construction of the BVB training centre in Hohenbuschei and the youth performance centre in the city’s Brackel district. Most recently she played a key role in the renovation of the club museum BORUSSEUM.

The Borussia Dortmund e.V. election committee will make a decision on nominations this autumn.
