Both sides began brightly but it was Chanmari West FC who had the first chance of the game when an effort from Hlutea was parried by Joseph. They pressed on and found themselves ahead on the 11th minute through star man Dampuia who is in fine form recently. He received a ball inside the box from a set-piece, took it to the byline and then found the net at a tight angle.
Chanmari West FC looked to hit their opponents with pace time and again, but Dinthar FC stood firm against one of, if not, the best attacking side in the league. Dinthar FC also had chances through striker Michael and Ruatpuia on more than a couple of occasions.
The second half saw Dinthar alter their style of play and it paid dividends in an instant. A penalty was awarded after a handball inside the box and centerback Bologun Hammed rifled it inside the net to level the scores.
Both side came close to finding the winner in an exciting display with Ruatpuia almost winning three points for Dinthar FC and Chanmari West FC’s Dampuia hitting the bar late on.
Chanmari West FC’s captain Laldampuia was named Man of the Match.
