On a weekly basis and beginning this Thursday at 11:00 am ET, CONCACAF will publish exclusive football conversations with current and former CONCACAF personalities, including coaches, players, referees and administrators. These exciting chats will focus on providing fans access to untold stories, anecdotes and highlights from the perspective of the actors involved in the matches and competitions.
The series will be available to all fans on CONCACAF’s Digital platforms, including the Confederation’s Official App, Facebook and YouTube pages.
The CONCACAF Fútbol Talks schedule for the upcoming three weeks is as follows:
Thursday, Aug 26 – Jason de Vos, Carlo Corazzin and Craig Forrest
For the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup not many people expected Canada to reach the final, but as the tournament progressed, the side coached by Holger Osieck gained momentum with every win, culminating with a superb display in the 2-0 win in the Final over Colombia and the Canadians being crowned as Gold Cup Champions.
Thursday, Sep 3 – Celso Borges and Alexandre Guimarães
Celso Borges and Alexandre Guimarães are one of the few father-son duos to have played for Costa Rica in a FIFA World Cup. Alexandre played in all three of Costa Rica’s matches in 1990 while also guiding “Los Ticos” to a World Cup qualification in 2006. Celso Borges has over 120 caps for the National Team including two World Cup participations.
Thursday, Sep 10 – Pavel Pardo, Oswaldo Sánchez and Ricardo La Volpe
Pavel Pardo, Oswaldo Sánchez and Ricardo La Volpe recollect Mexico’s epic Gold Cup 2003 run, which included defeating the former FIFA World Cup Champions Brazil, twice. This marked Mexico’s 4th Gold Cup title.
CONCACAF will announce further updates to its CONCACAF Fútbol Talks schedule via social media platforms at a later date.
