
Given the comprehensive safety measures and procedures in place at the club – strict mask requirement, social distancing rules, daily quick- and PCR-tests, hotel quarantine with an increase in meals in single rooms, the Gelsenkirchen health authorities have granted permission for Wednesday evening’s game against Hertha BSC (18:00 CEST) at the VELTINS-Arena to go ahead. Club doctor and hygiene delegate Dr. Patrick Ingelfinger is in contact with the authorities to discuss and implement further regulations, should they be required.
FC Schalke 04 will, of course, be following an implementing any instructions from the authority to their full extent. At the same time, the club asks that the affected players’ privacy be respected and wishes them all a quick and full recovery.
