That led to a transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, but the two-metre-tall Austrian suffered a serious injury on his debut and was out of action for several months. Kalajdzic made his comeback in August 2023 and has stayed free of injury since then. This season he’s made 13 appearances in all competitions for Wolves, scoring three goals and setting up another.
Kalajdzic made his breakthrough with Admira Wacker in his native Austria from 2016 to 2019. He registered 12 goals and 12 assists in 35 games for the first team of the then Austria Bundesliga club. At international level, the Vienna-born striker has 19 caps and four goals to his name, with his last appearance coming against Germany in November.
“Sasa has already proven that he can play a big role in the Bundesliga,” said Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche. “His playing style will add a new element to our game. He’s a strong finisher with good movement and heading. Because of his experience, we’re confident he’ll be able to help us right away.”
