Electric Veng FC fall in front of Mizoram Police!

Mizoram Police were able to earn their fifth win of the Zote Honda Mizoram Premier League 9 with a 3-1 victory over Electric Veng FC.

Fresh off a victory over neighbours Chhinga Veng FC, Electric Veng enjoyed a bright start and could have been in front after they were awarded a penalty early on. Jonathan Lalrawngbawla could not convert the spotkick and soon they were made to pay for their miss.

Striker Lalnunsanga headed Police in the lead in the 27th minute and they soon added another through a penalty of their own which was converted by Malsawmfela.

Malsawmfela added his second of the game in the second half to give his side a three goal cushion. Jonathan made amends for his miss early on as he netted a consolation goal for Electric Veng in the 65th minute.

Electric Veng FC continue to lie in sixth place in the league while Police move up to second in the table.
