The game began at a cautious pace, with both teams looking to settle into rhythm. Gradually, FCBU stepped up the intensity and started creating half-chances, probing down the flanks. Their breakthrough arrived in the 24th minute when Dhruv broke down the wing and delivered a low cross into the box. Though the initial effort was blocked, Nikhil was alert to smash home the rebound and hand his side the lead. FCBU came close again from a corner soon after but couldn’t convert, heading into halftime with a slender advantage.
The second half saw both teams stretch play, with defensive lines working hard under pressure. FCBU had two golden opportunities to double the lead: in the 57th minute, Nikhil’s shot was parried by the keeper but Altab couldn’t convert the rebound header, while four minutes later Nikhil’s effort inside the D was blocked by a retreating defender. Despite MEG & Centre pushing forward, FCBU maintained control of possession, managed the tempo, and saw the game out with maturity.
A gritty performance and a valuable three points – FCBU continue their strong start to the season with back-to-back wins in the KSFA Super Division 2025–26.
