FIFA World Rankings: India drop to 117th, Argentina stay No. 1!

FIFA - Coca Cola Mens World RankingEarlier today, the latest FIFA ‘Coca Cola’ Men’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the February rankings, India dropped to 117th behind Togo, but ahead of Guinea-Bissau; while Argentina remain No. 1.

India have 1.165 points, 36 points less than in the last rankings and drop to 22nd position of the Asian (AFC) rankings.

India suffered losses to Australia, Uzbekistan and Syria in the AFC Asian Cup 2023, while the next matches will be against Afghanistan in March in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers.

In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of the Maldives (161st), Nepal (175th), Bangladesh (183rd), Bhutan (184th), Pakistan (195th) and Sri Lanka (204th) in what was another mixed month for the region.

There were no changes across the top 5. 2022 FIFA World Cup champions Argentina (1,855 pts) stay ahead of France (1,845 pts), England (1,800 pts), Belgium (1,798 pts) and Brazil (1,784 points) complete the top five.
