The team, who competed in the AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers recently, are currently training under the Portuguese coach Luis Norton de Matos, who coached India U-17 team in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup at home.
Matos felt that this experience would be “immensely beneficial for the boys in future”.
“These players are going to get more match experience. This is a starting point. The difficulty we see in the I-League will be similar to what we saw in the World Cup,” Matos said.
