Former India international C. Jabir killed in a car accident!

aiff-logo-new-black-whiteFormer Indian international C. Jabir was killed on Sunday, December 4 night in a car accident, when his car was hit by a lorry at Musaliyar Angadi Millumpadi in Malappuram district of Kerala.

C. Jabir, a Circle Inspector in the MSP camp in Pandikkad, Malappuram, was only 44 years old and is survived by his wife Naseera and Children Fida, Rinda and Fahad.

C. Jabir was best known to play for Kerala Police and represented Kerala numerous times at the Santosh Trophy and in the 1995 Nehru Cup, he had represented India in three of the matches.

AIFF President Praful Patel in his message said, “It is sad to hear that we lost Mr. Jabir untimely due to an unfortunate accident. I share the grief. May his soul rest in peace.”

AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das said, “He was part of the golden generation of Kerala. May his soul rest in peace.”
