“Although this event is jointly organised by the FPAI and the MFA, this match is solely for the FPAI. They have made the decision to donate all the proceeds to the victims of recent tragedies in Mizoram. The MFA wholeheartedly supports this decision and is very pleased that the best players in the country will visit our state and play against the best players of our state,” said MFA honorary secretary Lalghinglova Hmar.
The FPAI and Mizoram XI match will take place on Saturday, July 1, at 2:30pm at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl. Tickets will be priced at Rs. 100 and Rs. 200.
The Mizoram Football Association has also made the final selection for players who will represent the Mizoram XI. Six players from the Mizoram Santosh Trophy 2017 team will join up with players from I-League and Indian Super League clubs. However, the eight Mizo youngsters called up for the Indian Under-22 team will not be able to take part in this exhibition match.
