A total of 17 teams had advanced from Round 1 to join all the twelve teams from the Women’s Bundesliga and the three best teams from the 2nd Division Women’s Bundesliga (1. FC Köln, FF USV Jena and SV Meppen) who had a first round bye.
Women’s Bundesliga champions and reigning cup winners VfL Wolfsburg will travel to Regionalliga (4th Division) side SV Berghofen, while last year’s losing finalists SC Freiburg face another Regionalliga club in FC Forstern.
The Round 2 matches will take place on September 7/8.
