Gokulam Kerala are currently in third place on the points table, only one point ahead of Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU) in fourth. Later on Sunday, TRAU will play against champions RoundGlass Punjab. A win for Gokulam will secure them third position, while any other result will give TRAU a chance to surpass them on the table. The Malabarians may fancy their chances against a struggling Sreenidi Deccan side, who have failed to win their last three games and are out of the reckoning for the title.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Gokulam Kerala head coach Francesc Bonet stated his team will go all out for the win on the last day to help their qualification for the Super Cup. “We want to win. It’s our last game and we want better seedings for the Super Cup. Also, we want to end the league with a happy feeling. We are expecting a good match,” said the Spaniard.
“It is a match between two top teams with good squads. Gokulam also has a great coach. It’s very difficult to score against them, and I am expecting a highly competitive match,” the Portuguese added.
The match between Gokulam Kerala FC and Sreenidi Deccan FC will be telecast live on Eurosport and Doordarshan Sports and streamed live on the Discovery Plus OTT platform at 4:30pm IST.
