JAKO & Bayer 04 Leverkusen pay homage to 1988 UEFA Cup triumph!

Together with Bayer 04 Leverkusen, JAKO rewrite history. For the 30th anniversary of the UEFA Cup triumph, JAKO have presented a special jersey for the Werkself. The new dress is inspired by the dress in which Bayer 04 won the international title on May 18, 1988 in a spectacular final against Espanyol Barcelona.

True to the historical model of the new dress is equipped with a round collar and diagonally across the white jersey running pinstripe. The pinstripes in the club colours black and red symbolize the players of the Werkself. On the inside of the neck is a design element featuring a stylized UEFA Cup trophy and the words “30 years of UEFA Cup winners”.

As with all jerseys of JAKO and Bayer 04, the club crest carries the contours of the logo of the “Farbenfabriken vor. Friedrich Bayer & Co.” from the 1800s. On the outside of the neck is the word “Werkself” to read, the font is derived from historic Bayer 04 logos.

The Bayer 04 Leverkusen team will play for the first time in historic jerseys at SV Werder Bremen on Saturday, May 5.
