The Dynamos put the hosts under pressure from the start but they had to wait until the 24th minute to go ahead through a Lallianzuala Chhangte goal.
But the lead didn’t last long as Australian legend Tim Cahill equalised with a header for Jamshedpur FC only five minutes later. At the break it was 1-1.
At the start of the second season there were chances at both ends before Farukh Choudhary scored the winner in the 61st minute through a stunner following a corner.
Jamshedpur FC now are off until after the 2019 AFC Asian Cup break, while Delhi Dynamos face another struggler in champions Chennaiyin FC on December 15.
