As a consequence, and respecting the Ministry of Health’s restrictions, for this weekend and the rest of the LaLiga season – two remaining LaLiga Santander matchdays, four LaLiga SmartBank matchdays and the subsequent promotion playoff games – fans will be able to attend games in autonomous communities at present in phase 1, which are: Valencia, Galicia, Balearic Islands and Murcia.
This means that in LaLiga Santander Matchday 37 fans will be allowed to attend Valencia CF vs SD Eibar and Villarreal CF vs Sevilla FC, while supporter access will also be granted at CD Castellon vs SD Ponferradina, CD Lugo vs CD Mirandes and RCD Mallorca vs AD Alcorcon in LaLiga SmartBank Matchday 39.
LaLiga is keen to point out how much preparation, dedication and hard work have been put in during this time to make the return of fans to stadiums a reality. This has been achieved through the development and approval of careful access protocols which respect the security measures approved by the relevant authorities.
While being fully aware that the health crisis is still ongoing, LaLiga wants to express its desire for the return of fans to be allowed across the board and to made more flexible in the shortest possible time, extending supporter stadium access to other autonomous communities, if they themselves deem this viable. LaLiga matches will follow a strict protocol, complying with very demanding measures, which are even more stringent than those at other sporting and miscellaneous events currently allowing public access, which is why we consider this decision to be somewhat inconsistent.
