Cádiz CF were founded on September 10, 1910 as Mirandilla FC, after a Christian college in the city, with the club only taking on its current name in 1936. The side enjoyed its heyday in the 1980s and 1990s, competing in a Copa del Rey semifinal during this period. Cádiz play in yellow and blue and the club’s crest features the figure of Hercules flanked by two lions, with two columns behind him and the club colours.
