Manipur-leg pre-qualifiers of the Indian Women’s League set to kick off!

The Manipur-leg of the pre-qualifiers of the 2017/18 Indian Women’s League is set to kick off tomorrow in Imphal with five teams including the current IWL champions Eastern Sporting Union looking for a berth in the next stage.

The tournament would be played from August 20 to September 25 at the Khuman Lampak artificial turf in Imphal.

Besides Eastern Sporting Union, Manipur Police SC, Naharol Yaipha Thourang Club – Okram Chuthek, Kangchup Road Youth Physical Sports Association – Naoremthong and Youth Welfare Club – Langthabal would be playing out the eight rounds of matches.

IWL champions Eastern Sporting Union have to play the pre-qualifiers as all women football teams have to play the complete competition.
