When asked about the reason for joining Minerva Punjab FC he replied “I’ve seen Minerva Punjab FC grow over the last two years and they have only gone from strength to strength. It has provided a platform for youngsters to compete at the highest level and it will be a great learning curve for me personally.”
“My aim for this season is to work hard in practice and help the team in every way possible,” said the 20 year old.
Everyone dreams of donning the national team colours and Nikhil is no different. His main target is to break into the India U-23 as soon as possible.
“I have heard that senior players here are very kind and helpful and they motivate the juniors a lot. Being a youngster this is what everyone wishes for. I am eager to train with the squad,” said Nikhil when asked about the seniors in the team.
The Mumbai-born player was ecstatic about the chances of the club playing in the AFC Champions League qualifiers this season and is raring to go.
