Mizoram Premier League: Champions Aizawl FC beaten by newcomers Ramhlun North FC!

Ramhlun North FC held on to their solitary goal for 45 minute to beat Aizawl FC and claim three valuable points on Friday, October 28 afternoon. The match, scheduled to be played in the evening of Thursday saw play abandoned after 45 minute due to excessive fog, with the next 45 minutes scheduled to be played the next day.

Ramhlun North FC had already taken the lead in the first half through their new striker Oneyama Francis and set about protecting their lead for the next 45 minutes.

Although Ramhlun North FC threatened first it was Aizawl FC who got the better of the 45 minutes. They dominated their opponents and created numerous goalscoring opportunities only come up short in the final third.

Striker Bright Mends, midfielder B. Thara and captain Rohminga all came close for Aizawl FC, while goalkeeper Sangpuia had a great outing between the sticks for RNFC and duly received the Man of the Match award for his heroics.
