Mohammedan Sporting beat Mumbai’s ONGC for winning start in UP Invitational Tournament!

Kolkata’s Mohammedan Sporting Club began their campaign in the All India Mau Nagarpalika Gold Cup 2016 with a 1-0 win over ONGC from Mumbai in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on Monday.

Ivorain defender Lancine Toure struck the winner in injury time to separate both the teams in a evenly matched encounter in Varanasi.

The competition is a five team affair organised by the Mau Nagar Palika Parishad in which teams will play in a round robin league format and the top two teams will qualify for the grand finale.

Mohammedan Sporting will now face DFA Varanasi next on Wednesday, December 21.
