The Mumbai Football Academy is a collaboration between the Brihanmumbai Kreeda Ani Lalitkala Paratishthan (BKLP) and the I-League side Mumbai FC, who will be conducting the training of the children at the Mumbai Football Arena in Munbai’s Andheri Sports Complex.
Mumbai District Football Association chairman Aditya Thackeray speaking on behalf of the BKLP said, “Wish we had more grounds like the Andheri Sports Complex. There is one coming up at Bandra opposite Rang Sharda, but we require more football grounds so that we can conduct grassroots level programmes and give our kids a chance to play the sport. Through this initiative (The Mumbai Football Academy) I want to create a base for Mumbai football.”
Mumbai Football Academy has been my dream to have an affordable centre of learning football professionally for all. Open trials will be held

It will be interesting to see if the Mumbai Football Academy is set-up by Aditya Thackeray just like the Mumbai Football Arena was build in a short span of time.
