Following the successful logo launch of UEFA EURO 2024 in Berlin on October 5 last year, where the logo – which showcases all the colour combinations of the flags of UEFA member countries – was unveiled, the commitment to festivity and culture will be reinforced by unique fan illustrations. In cooperation with the DFB Social Responsibility Department and UEFA’s CSR Department, the illustrations were created in a diverse and inclusive way.
The basic idea: In 2024, everyone is invited to Germany to host a spectacular celebration of football and unity. In addition to the motto “United by Football. United in the heart of Europe”, the brand documents: Football is for everyone. For all cultures and countries, all ages and backgrounds. From friends and families to those experiencing the tournament for the first time, each group will be an integral part of the visual story. The fan illustrations will help capture the diversity and inclusion as well as the emotions and excitement of UEFA EURO 2024 – where everyone is welcome.
At the UEFA EURO 2024 Qualifying Draw next Sunday, the Festhalle will determine the constellation in which the 53 participating associations will play for their starting place in the final round in Germany from 14 June to 14 July 2024. The DFB team is automatically qualified for the final tournament as a selection of the host association and therefore not in the draw of the qualification competition. The 53 teams participating in the draw will be seeded after overall placement in the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League and then divided into ten qualifying groups – seven groups of five and three groups of six. Already on December 5, 2003, the Festhalle in Frankfurt was the venue for the draw of a qualification competition, at that time in the run-up to the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
