Born in Vigo, Spain; the 40-year-old Óscar Bruzón is known as a tactician and has an UEFA ‘A’ Pro license coaching degree, while he comes to the Maldives islands with coaching experience at the highest level.
The Spaniard came to India to work for the SPT Academy and then moved to the I-League to join Sporting Clube de Goa and helped the Goan club to a sixth and fifth place finish in the 2012/13 and 2013/14 I-League seasons respectively, and in the Federation Cup where Sporting Goa reached the final in 2013/14.
His most recent job was in March/April at Indian I-League side Mumbai FC, whom he tried to keep in the I-League but in the end Mumbai FC were relegated. Before that he was assistant manager to Fernando Vazquez at RCD Mallorca in Spain’s Segunda (Second) Division and also at Mumbai City FC in the Indian Super League.
