Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC have announced their support staff for head coach Nelo Vingada of Portugal going into the third edition of the ISL with Joao Arnaldo Correia De Carvalho and Francisco Bruto da Costa joining as assistant coaches, while Luis Filipe Da Cruz Matos would be NEUFC’s goalkeeping coach.
Both Joao Arnaldo Correia De Carvalho and Luis Filipe Da Cruz Matos have experience of having worked together with NEUFC head coach Nelo Vingada in the past.
Joao Arnaldo Correia De Carvalho has a wealth of experience with Seleções de Portugal and CS Maritimo.
“Let’s dream…Together we’ll be ambitious and strong!. Along with quality players, we’ll work to give the NorthEast United fans many reasons to celebrate,” Arnaldo said.
Luis Filipe Da Cruz Matos has a long coaching career behind him with stints at Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Seleções de Portugal, and a playing career that has seen him turn out for the likes of FC Porto and Sporting Clube de Portugal.
Luis said, “We hope a good performance from NEUFC in the upcoming season. We are coming to a special Football league, with 3 months of hard competition. I know that we have two quality Indian goalkeepers in Subrata Pal and Rehenesh Thumbirumbu Paramba, and I hope that I can help them to get better.”
“I’m very motivated to come to this league and I hope that my experience and knowledge can help the team achieve success. A special greeting to all the Highlanders who back our team through thick and thin,” Luis added.
Meanwhile Francisco Bruto da Costa will join NEUFC as another Assistant Coach, who holds an AFC Pro License coaching badge and has worked extensively with the India junior set-up, the AIFF Elite Academy and holds valuable experience in grooming and working with talented youngsters.
Multilingual and a student of the game, Francisco is a stellar addition to the vibrant unit at the Club this ISL season.
