With the aim to enhance and flourish football across all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir under ‘Mission-22’, the State Football Academy (SFA) of Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC) held a one day open selection trial for district Kulgam football aspirants on Thursday, April 26 at the Sports Stadium, Anantnag.
While holding trials for Kulgam, nearly 140 players underwent training through trials who were transported from Kulgam to Anantnag.
Out of the 140 football aspirants almost 60 boys were selected under three age groups Under-13, U-15 and U-18 respectively.
The selected players will undergo SFA curriculum training at their home ground Kulgam and will likely participate in the ongoing SFA Inter Academies Football League 2017-18.
The trials were conducted under the supervision of Senior Coach JKSSC, Javeed Ahmed Sofi; SFA Head Coach U-15, Muzamil Mahmood; SFA Coach U-13, Ali Mohammad; and SFA Coach Anantnag, Fayaz Ahmed.
The entire process of trials was coordinated by Abdul Rehmaan of SFA Kulgam.
Moreover, to avail training facilities to these selected players of SFA, the District Football Unit of Kulgam will likely be launched in the coming days.
