After the success of Bengali coverage on Sony Aath during the 2014 FIFA World Cup from Brazil, Sony Pictures Entertainment decided to expand its regional language footprint across India.
Sony SIX will air the original English language feed, while Sony ESPN will broadcast in five regional feeds in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Matches will also be streamed live via the Sony LIV digital platform online.
The games will be broadcast live across India on the Sony SIX and Sony ESPN channels at 6.30pm, 9.30pm and 12.30am.
Sony Pictures Networks believe that the multiple language feeds will bring the UEFA Euro 2016 closer to the football fans across India by presenting the content in a localised format for viewers across different regional markets.
