The match kicks-off at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium in the city of Suzhou, China from 5:05pm IST.
In preparation for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, the Indian National Team travelled in a first to play an International Friendly against China and will look to register their first win ever against that opponent. India haven’t ever been able to manage a victory against China in their last 17 outings for far. The last time the two teams met was in the 1997 Nehru Cup.
Out of the 17 face-offs between these two sides so far, the Red Dragons have won on 12 occasions. The rest of the five matches ended in a stalemate.
After the team had arrived in Suzhou, Head Coach Stephen Constantine had said, “China are obviously a good side. They play some good football. Our performance against China will be a great indication of where we are and how far we need to go.”
