Founded in 2018 to give Bengaluru’s footballers a professional and organised pathway, Technico accelerated its growth in 2022 when it transitioned into a private limited company. Under Founder and Technical Director Vivek Menzel and Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor Alisha D’Souza, the club embraced a philosophy centred on measurement, data, and high-performance training. This approach continues to shape its identity.
Unprecedented Achievements in Just Four Years
Since entering the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) League system with men’s and women’s teams, Technico has delivered several landmark milestones that reflect both consistency and ambition:
Historic Double Promotion (2023–24):
The men’s C Division side won the title, while the D Division team finished runners-up, completing the first recorded double promotion in the KSFA league structure.
The Invincibles Season (2024–25):
Technico’s men’s B Division squad went unbeaten, scoring 34 goals and conceding just four, earning the nickname “The Invincibles.”
A Division Breakthrough (2025–26):
With 34 goals scored and only eight conceded, the team finished runners-up but secured promotion to the Super Division, fulfilling the club’s five-year plan one season ahead of schedule.
Expansion Across the Ecosystem:
Technico now operates five KSFA-registered teams, a growing women’s program, and a structured grassroots pathway from U-5 to U-13. Around 100 players progress through the Technico system every season.
A Club Growing On and Off the Pitch
The promotion reflects the same disciplined processes the club applies across its operations. In 2025, Technico launched the Technico Excellence Foundation, a non-profit registered as a Section 8 Company under the Companies Act 2013 with an 80G license, dedicated to advancing women’s football, strengthening community pathways, and integrating education into sport.
“You cannot grow what you cannot measure,” said Menzel. “Reaching the Super Division is the result of years of consistent work at every level.”
“Our mission extends beyond results,” added D’Souza. “We’re building an ecosystem where footballers and the communities around them can thrive.”
With its place now secured among Bengaluru’s top-tier clubs, Technico will now focus on its next goal: fielding teams across all AIFF Youth League categories within the next two years while continuing to raise standards in the city’s football landscape.
