Thailand’s King’s Cup: India to face Curacao!

The draw for the semifinals of the 2019 King’s Cup was carried out by the Football Association of Thailand (FAT), in which India would take on Curacao, while hosts Thailand on Vietnam.

In their first match since their elimination from the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, Team India, who are currently ranked 101st, take on Caribbean islanders Curacao, who are currently 82nd in the FIFA rankings.

For India under their to be appointed new head coach it would be a real test to face Curacao, who are mainly made up of players playing in the Dutch leagues.

The India vs Curacao match would be played on Wednesday, June 5 at 15.30h local time (14.00h IST) followed by hosts Thailand taking on their Southeast Asian rivals Vietnam at 19.45h local time (18.15h IST).

The losers would play for the third place playof on Saturday, June 8 at 15.30h local time (14.00h IST), while the winners would contest the King’s Cup final at 19.45h local time (18.15h IST).

All the matches would be played at the Chang Arena in Buriram, Thailand.
