Togglehead wins PIFA organised Battle for the Net 2017!

The Battle for the Net 2017 was a 7-A-Side football tournament organised by Mumbai-based PIFA as a grassroot initiative held for digital media companies at Turf Park in Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.

Nine teams participated – Togglehead, 22Feet Tribal WW, The Glitch, Social Kinnect, Affinity Global, Schbang, Pinstorm, Foxymoron and Liqvd Asia – with the tournament being held from June 30 to July 2.

The quality of football was far superior than what the organisers at PIFA were expecting.

Togglehead took the Winners Trophy beating 22Feet Tribal 3-1 in a closely fought final with the tournament awards handed out by AIFF Executive Committee Member Anjali Shah.

Individual awards were given to Abheer (Togglehead) for Best Player, Saurabh (22Feet Tribal) for Golden Glove, and Tejas (22Feet Tribal) for Golden Boot of the tournament.

Battle for the Net 2017, the inaugural edition of PIFA’s Corporate Leagues, was considered a success by the participants, who spoke of loving both the spirit and the organization of the tournament.
