“Some of the brightest moments in my career happened during the FIFA Confederations Cup. In fact, my first cap with the national team came against Japan in the 2001 edition,” said 35-year-old Baptista, who currently plays for Orlando City FC in the United States’ Major League Soccer.
“The idea of gathering all the continental champions in a single tournament is fantastic. I am really proud to somehow be involved in the 2017 edition,” Julio Baptista added.
