U-13 Youth League: Chennaiyin FC U-13s net a dozen goals!

The Chennaiyin FC U-13 side continued their magnificent goal-scoring run with a huge 12-0 win over RV Soccer School in the Under-13 Youth League at the Maharishi Vidya Mandir (MVM) School ground here today. The star of the show was striker Mohamed Liyaakath with four goals, scoring two apiece in each half. It was a one-sided affair that saw the boys in white net half a dozen goals in each half.

Aravind Karthickeyan opened the scoring early on, with skipper K. Rahul making it 2-0 soon after. Liyaakath then added a quick-fire two goals, before K. Surya and Allen Raj found the back of the net to give Chennaiyin FC a whopping 6-0 lead at half-time.

K. Surya completed his brace soon after the break to put the Chennaiyin FC U-13s seven goals to the good. The unstoppable Liyaakath then added the eighth and ninth goals before being substituted along with fellow striker K. Surya. The replacements Teejeshwar and Karan Chakravarthy joined the scoring party instantly. Teejeshwar got on the scoresheet twice before Karan made it 12-0 at the end.

Such a terrific display by the Chennaiyin FC U-13 boys has now seen them win four games on the bounce. And this was their biggest triumph in the Under-13 Youth League this season, also doing the double over their opponents RVSS.

Their next challenge awaits in the form of Oyyabo Sports, whom they face on December 23 at the SSN College Ground.
