Urawa Red Diamonds’ Kiko Seike cancelled out Lee So-hee’s opener before Mei Shimada hit the winner to seal the win.
Urawa Red Diamonds were the first to have a look on goal with Seike sending a dipping shot from the right flank which was easily intercepted by Hyundai Steel Red Angels goalkeeper Kim Jung-mi
A momentary lapse in concentration from Urawa Red Diamonds, however, opened the door for Hyundai Steel Red Angels to take the lead in the 13th minute with Reina Nagashima losing possession under pressure from Choo Hyo-joo, enabling So-hee to unleash a curling shot from outside the box that settled in the bottom corner of the net.
Urawa Red Diamonds game back fighting and came close two minutes later when Seike floated a delightful ball after evading her marker at the edge of the area, only for Yuki Mizutani to mistime her close range effort at the left post.
The Japanese side, however, scored the equaliser in spectacular fashion in the 22nd minute when Mizutani’s brilliant lob over the Hyundai Steel Red Angels backline found Seike, who rifled her powerful volley into the roof of the net from close range.
Hyundai Steel Red Angels looked to reassert supremacy but Kim Seong-mi sent her shot wide after weaving through the Hyundai Steel Red Angels defence.
The momentum slowly shifted in Urawa Red Diamonds’ favour and they took the lead in the 26th minute with Shimada sending her header off Yuzuho Shiokoshi’s corner into the net.
Urawa Red Diamonds kept Hyundai Steel Red Angels at bay in the second half and almost widened their lead with three minutes left when Rion Ishikawa forced a point blank save from Kim off a corner.
Hyundai Steel Red Angels continued trying to force their way back into the tie but Urawa Red Diamonds held on to claim the trophy.
