From the buzzing heart of Imphal, this week Sana, Pritam and Bipin take us to the seat of the ancient kings of Manipur – the impressive Kangla Fort – and the Imphal War Cemetery.
The history of Manipur spans thousands of years and, despite being a developing state, the people of this land are deeply connected to their glorious heritage.
At Kangla, Pritam explains the significance of a large stone known as Luphou Nung while Sana gives us an insight into the temples and history of the area.
The bunch then bring us to the serene and immaculately maintained Imphal War Cemetery, the final resting place of around 1,600 Allied personnel from the Second World War, a place guaranteed to move every visitor.
