The home right in the second leg is held by the club that, according to the schedule, has fewer days off before the first leg.
Extra-time and penalty shoot-outs possible – VAR in action
Since the 2021/22 season, the away goals rule no longer applies in the relegation play-offs – as in the European Cup. In the event of the same number of goals after the first and second legs, the second leg will be extended by two 15-minute periods.
