Mumbai City FC have confirmed that the Islanders’ U-14 team will participate in one of the world’s leading and most prestigious youth tournaments, the Mina Cup. This will be the first time a Mumbai City youth side participates in an international competition.
Hosted in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, the Mina Cup attracts the top youth talent in the world from clubs across continents. Drawn in Group 1 in the U-14 category, Mumbai City FC will square off against City Football Schools, Dubai City FC (UAE) and AYSO United (USA).
Fresh off their success in the Double Pass Development League in Mumbai, the Islanders’ U-14s will travel with a 15-member squad to Dubai led by head coach Sameer Kapoor and will play their first game on April 1, 2022 against USA’s AYSO United.
