AFC postpones North Korea vs Malaysia match due to political tensions!

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Competitions Committee have on Friday, March 10 decided to postpone the 2019 AFC Asian Cup – UAE Final Round 3 qualifier game between North Korea and Malaysia.

The match was scheduled to be played in the North Korean capital Pyongyang on March 28, 2017 but the AFC Competitions Committee have taken the decision to postpone the tie after escalating diplomatic tension between the Governments of North Korea and Malaysia with the Malaysians having requested the AFC to shift the match from North Korea.

A new date for the game will be announced in due course.
